Inkuiri saintifik terbahagi kepada empat langkah iaitu:-

Ø  Asking a question

Ø  Planning, completing and investigation

Ø  Answering the question or solving the problem

Ø  Communication the result to everyone.

Hari berikutnya, kami telah menjalankan satu ‘inquiry lab’ . Tajuk yang telah dipilih ialah Buoyant force and Archimedes principle.

Sepanjang aktiviti ini kami melalui pembelajaran 4 fasa seperti yang telah diajar sebelum ini.

• Ø  Application
• Ø  Relection/closer

Cuma apa yang ingin ditekankan disini inkuiri saintifik akan berlaku di dalam fasa 2.

Dalam eksperimen ini, terlebih dahulu kami diberi soalan.

Ø  Why do heavy steel ships float while a piece of much lighter steel sinks? In fact why do some objects float while others sink?

         Hmm..kenapa ye…kapal yang besar dan berat tu boleh terapung dan logam ringan pula      

         boleh tenggelam.

         Selepas itu, eksperimen bermula….jom siasat….

Buoyant force = Upward acting force when the object immerse in a fluid.

Setelah selesai eksperimen, kami dapat menjawab soalan tadi.

Answer: Some object float because there have an upward force acting on the ship when the ship  immerse in the liquid. The force acting is greater than it weight.
